How To Make Money Giving Away FREE stuff
I’m just gonna say it…I should charge $1,000 for what I’m about to give you free.
About 4 years ago I bought a book from a marketing guru. Only I didn’t actually buy it – he gave it to me. All I had to do was “pay a tiny shipping & handling fee” to have it sent to me in the mail. I immediately thought, “What a GRRRRREAT idea.”
Give something valuable away, start building a relationship with a customer AND you get their mailing address — much more valuable than an email address.
Within a week I had my web designer building me a “knock off” of this guy’s site. My designs were original but the concept behind the “giveaway” were identical.
The site launched during the first week of June and within 10 hours, I had 508 subscribers and had given away hundreds of the digital version of my book – and a hundred or so copies of the “paperback version”. I made about $1,000 by mailing the “actual” book to customers.
Hmmmmmm….this was a great way to get into the often lucrative direct mail business but it also reminded me of the power of “free” and how anyone can attract legions of customers by simply giving them something they want for FREE.
I’m going to introduce you to a new concept called Bite Size Continuity, which shows you how to start your own membership site or continuity program in 72 hours – using bite sized content that doesn’t take a lot of time or money.
